The Shift: From Distraction to Domination

Empress in Action At the start of the year, I had two things on my mind: launch a beauty brand and build a world-class ad agency.
No grand strategy, no drawn-out roadmaps-just action.
I move fast, and I build as I go.
And while that energy has taken me far, it also invited its fair share of chaos.
There were moments I felt overwhelmed.
I questioned everything- Is this the right business for me?
Am I cut out for this?
Can I really do this at the level I envision?
And in the middle of all that, I did something wild.
I launched Little Vegan , a healthy snack brand inspired by my daughters.
I know what you’re thinking: “Another business?
Are you insane?” Maybe.
But when it comes to my kids and creating something meaningful, I don’t wait for perfect timing-I move.
Then came the deeper questions-the kind that don’t just challenge you as a founder, but as a woman and as a mother.
Yawaragi, Hotel Okura Big swirl of happiness - character cotton candy Should I be thinking about finding a father figure for my kids?
Is staying single selfish?
Am I still doing right by them if I choose to build alone?
So I opened the door.
I let myself date again.
I was honest.
Open.
Willing.
But the truth came quickly and clearly: every time I stepped into the dating space, I found myself being pulled back to the empire.
My attention snapped back to the business, the vision, the impact I want to create-not the dinner reservations or small talk that led nowhere.
And just like that, I remembered: I’ve done the relationship route.
I’ve played the supportive partner, tried building with someone who didn’t bring the same fire.
And while I don’t regret love, I no longer romanticize distraction.
If I date, it’s intentional.
It’s for marriage.
Not for entertainment.
Because I always believe: I’m not here to be part of someone else’s story-I’m here to write my own.
Then came April , and another business opportunity completely pulled my focus.
It hit me hard-so hard I had to go silent.
I stepped back.
I stopped everything.
And I faced what might’ve been the hardest decision yet: shut it all down to focus on one thing.
And that “one thing”… I won’t speak on it just yet.
Not until it’s real, not until it’s done.
I’ve learned the power of protecting what’s sacred while it’s still in the making.
For now, I’ll only speak of what I’ve already built.
And I’ll let the rest reveal itself when the time is right.
This year, I shifted my domain to www.avisiwa.me -a reset and a declaration.
A move to refocus, recommit, and reawaken everything I set out to build.
I’m no longer entertaining what doesn’t align.
I’m no longer compromising clarity for temporary company.
I’m all in-with myself, my vision, and this empire.
Because when you know who you are, distractions look a lot like detours.
And this Empress doesn’t have time for either.
This empire is for my kids.
And that alone is a strong, unshakable reminder-for myself.
